Work in progress / experimental feature 80’ / documentary fiction
In coproduction with La Vulcanizadora COL
From before 1982, something has been going on in the Mataven jungle; that year they said they were going to build a utopian city there, at the gates of the Amazon Forest, and that it would be the country's development pole.
Stories about this new city, the city of the future, keep appearing. One hears about a utopian megaproject, but it doesn't exist where it was said because there is a military base there. Others talk about how the ecological village that is now a resin factory. Anyone can remember when the president visited the area to promote the architectural megaproject. Someone remembers the pine plantation worker who knew the art of resin extraction, even though that tree was not from there. They are talking about Marandúa, and they are all inhabitants of the same territory, everything happens on the same land, one land.
